Who We Are

The wildfires on Maui in August of 2023 were devastating, tragic and heart-wrenching. In West Maui the devastation was immense - Lahaina Town was destroyed along with our fledgling wine shop. The ashes and loss brought change for many including our family.

We are determined to stay in West Maui and have a positive impact on it’s rebuilding and return as a destination for so many.

The Banyan Tree, known for its extensive growth and long lifespan, holds deep symbolism and significance in many cultures. It’s ability to withstand the test of time (and fire) and thrive in diverse conditions is reminiscent of our own resilience in the face of adversity. Its roots, reaching out in all directions, mirror the paths we carve through the sea, always exploring, always growing. We are not simply guiding people through the waters, we are sharing the strength and resilience of our community, embodied in the symbol of the Banyan Tree.

We hope, with every pedal stroke and every story shared, we are planting seeds of hope and resilience, paving the way for a brighter future.

A hui hou, Mark
