Every winter, thousands of humpback whales travel to the warm, shallow waters of Hawai‘i to mate, give birth, and raise their young. Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary protects these whales and their habitat. We have the unique opportunity to experience these majestic animals in the waters around Maui. Avoid the crowds and fumes on the large whale watching boats. A moving, serene, personal experience bringing you closer to these Humpback whales in a way few have experienced before.
